There's always a problem with parallel adjectives -
good times and
bad times - that, if not antithetical, they at least imply mutual exclusivity. If I say that there are good writers and there are Welsh people, I imply a difference between the two. I only thought of this because of headline in today's
Observer that went:
THE TRAGEDY OF BRITISH CHILDREN RAISED BY ALCOHOLIC PARENTS
Damn those dipsomaniac foreigners: coming over here drinking our whisky, stealing our children etc etc.
